Speaker Biography
Martin Barnes has been working in project management for the last 30 years. The management consulting business which he founded merged with what is now PricewaterhouseCoopers in 1985. Since 1996 he has been an independent consultant. He also holds the appointment of Executive Director of the Major Projects Association and is President of the Association for Project Management.
Martin Barnes is a former Chairman of the Council of the International Project Management Association. He is an associate fellow of Templeton College, University of Oxford. He is a recipient of the Chartered Management Institute's Special Award and of the Institution of Civil Engineer's Watson Medal, both for his personal contribution to the development of project management methods and techniques. He is a Fellow of the Royal Academy of Engineering and a Churchill Fellow.
